"Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful." Joshua J. Marine
As a cancer survivor, Deborah knows firsthand the journey of diagnosis, treatment and remission. Each part of the process brings its own challenges, fears and gifts.
During diagnosis and treatment, we're in a whirlwind of doctor appointments, lab tests, cat scans, pet scans, insurance forms, intake forms, infusion centers, radiation centers, tears, sleepless nights, calls and cards from family and friends, and suggestions of what we should and shouldn't be eating, drinking, or doing for treatment.
Deborah reflects from her experience: "When we reach the state of remission, the intensity shifts and we're left alone to figure out what comes next in our lives. It's as if we were the star in a play but now it's over. The other actors have left the stage and the audience has gone home. We are left alone as the house lights slowly dim." So, what's next? Some questions to explore:
Who am I now that I don't have cancer?
What did I just go through?
How has my body been impacted from my treatment?
How do I build myself back up?
What is my relationship with myself?
What is my relationship with others?
What do I do to keep the cancer from returning?
Remission is not a permanent state; it requires day-to-day vigilance and attention.
Deborah's whole-person coaching will help you access where you're at now, how you're feeling in all areas of your life, and defining your goals moving forward to renew yourself in body, mind and spirit.
