As a cancer survivor I know firsthand the journey of diagnosis, treatment and remission. Each part of the process brings it's own challenges, fears and gifts.

During diagnosis and treatment we are in a whirlwind of doctor appointments, lab tests, Cat scans, pet scans, insurance forms, intake forms, infusion centers, radiation centers, tears, sleepless nights, calls and cards from family and friends, suggestions of what you should and should not be eating, drinking or doing for your treatment.

When we reach the state of remission the intensity shifts and we are left alone to figure out what comes next in our lives. It is as if we were the star in a play but now it's over. The other actors have left the stage and the audience has gone home. We are left alone as the house lights slowly dim. So what's next? Some questions arise such as

Who am I now that I don't have cancer?

What did I just go through?

How has my body been impacted from my treatment?

How do I build myself back up?

What is my relationship with myself?

What is my relationship with others?

What do I do to keep the cancer from returning?

Remission is not a permanent state it requires day to day vigilance and attention.

My whole-person coaching will help you access where you are now, how you are feeling in all areas of your life and your goals moving forward to renewing yourself in body, mind and spirit.

"After my cancer treatment was over, I felt abandoned and alone. Thank goodness I found Deborah. Her whole-person approach really resonated with me, and today with her help I feel strong and confident with a positive outlook on my life."

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
As an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
